We look at both for help. We will have Move In volunteers who will assist students with moving their items into the residence hall. Please remember you are moving into a space that will be shared by another student, therefore, we do encourage student to speak with thier roommate to find out who will be bringing what items. 92Can I have RU ID for the 529 college plan fund to pay tution?AnonymousPlease know that the process of paying via a 529 plan is initiated through your particular account.

When you receive your term bill, you can call your plan administrator - or make a request directly through your 529 account - to have the funds sent to Rutgers University. The method in which a 529 plan sends payment depends on the plan itself, so it may be prudent to contact your 529 administration directly in order to verify their procedure.  However, we do find that many plans submit payments directly to the school. These payments should be mailed as a check (with RUID, student name and the term) to the following address:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
Term Bill Processing Unit
P.O. Box 2021
New Brunswick, NJ 08903-2021

94We need to edit the finanical aid before we pay for tutition. we were told we need to wait unit the "pencil" pops up to edit. When will we see this? What happens if it doesn't pop up before tuition is due on the 16th?JeanetteYes the loan does need pencil icon and acceptance open to accept or decline loans. In meantime, there are no late fees to term bills paid after the due date in addition to a 7 day grace period.Kathy Dowden

95Hi I recieved my term bill but I dont see my initial $200 deposit on it. Was it suppose to go towards my housing?JeffreyStudents will see the $200 housing credit reflected around mid to late January. The credit won't appear as a line item on the term bill, but the cost of housing will be reduced when the credit is applied. Students who do not stay into the spring will not receive the $200 credit to housing charges.
The $150 enrollment fee is separate.

97So - Sorry - Not sure I caught all that on Term Bills - Some folks have them already? How do I know if I should have one that needs to be paid next week, versus being in that batch that is due in September? Thanks !!!!!StriefflerYour student should be able to log on through MyRutgers Dashboard to see if they have a term bill out on My Money widget. If not than they will have a later due date than 8/16. There are 3 term bill due dates for certain populations.Kathy Dowden

98We are based in Singapore. Our Son is a transfer student. He was not able to register for the online Star Days. He was emailed that there will be another - in person, late august. But he doesnt have the dates yet & was told he can register for courses only after his Star Days. 2 questions:
Do we have any dates for the star days? Also, will the term bill be issued after his Star Days?
ManishI believe I answered this previously, but we have a STAR Day as part of international student orientation, and term bills are generated overnight once students register. Questions can and should be addressed to the transfer advisors (in SAS it's transfers@sas.rutgers.edu) - we're all here to help!Courtney Stanzione
