How to create your Adobe account and download Adobe Creative Cloud apps


For users with existing Adobe Creative Cloud accounts:

You will need to create a new account tied to your Rutgers identity and will need to authenticate with your NetID and password. You can find directions to activate your Rutgers Adobe Creative Cloud account below. If you have a personal account using your Rutgers email in the format netid@rutgers.edu, you will have the option to login with your personal account or with your Rutgers NetID and password. 

Activating Adobe for students, faculty, staff, and guests:

  1. Go to the Service Activation page
  2. Log in with your NetID and NetID password.
  3. After logging in, scroll down to the Adobe box and click Activate Service. You'll then see the confirmation message below.

Note that it may take minutes or even hours to fully provision your Adobe license once requested. This is based on the load at the Adobe provisioning host.

Downloading Adobe Creative Cloud

  1. Go to the Adobe Creative Cloud page.
  2. In the email address box, enter your email in the specific format: netid@rutgers.edu and select Continue.
  3. If you previously had an Adobe account, you may need to sign out and sign back in to access your new applications.

  4. If you have a personal Adobe account using your netid@rutgers.edu email address, you will see a prompt asking you to choose your Personal Account or Company or School Account. Choose Company or School Account. If you do not have a personal account using your Rutgers email, you will not see this prompt and instead will be prompted to login with your NetID.

  5. After logging in with your NetID and NetID password you will then be directed to your Adobe home page. If you see a box that says, "You may need permission from your IT administrator to use this app or service," select OK.

  6. From this page, you can click Download on the Creative Cloud Desktop application. Which once installed, will let you download any of the included apps from one central desktop app, or you can search for and download a specific Adobe application by selecting Browse all apps.
